Winter wolf hunts and coyote hunts with Blue Sky Outfitters
Our three or six day
wolf hunts and coyote hunts are based from our lodge.
We book from November thru to the end of March, and
these hunts are a great winter hunt! The boreal forest,
farm land transition terrain provides high numbers of
these wary predators in Northern Alberta giving hunters
an opportunity.
The days are short and the temperatures can be cold
but the hunt is great. It can be a social hunt at times
it can be solitary, you will see the country side and
you will enjoy the evening home cooked meals and the
many stories that are a part of the evening sharing
that takes place.
Expect temperatures to be cold in November to March
-40F to +10F. The hunting dates will see many days with
a bag lunch and beverages being provided. You should
expect to be out all day. Plan to dress in layers our
weather can be unpredictable with warm ups happening
or fast hard temperature drops. You may spend your day
in a truck or out in fresh air so layers are critical
to ensure a comfortable hunt.
