Waterfowl Hunts
in North America's best waterfowl hunting destination.
You will be goose hunting for for canada goose, snow
goose, white-fronted, and speckled goose and duck hunting
for mallards, pintails and widgeons.
We are located
in McLennan, Alberta on Kimwan Lake. Population of McLennan
is approximately 900 people and it is the Bird Capital
of Canada. The junction of the peace parkland and dry
mixed wood natural regions and several flyways cross
over or are near to Kimiwan Lake, which means that the
area has rich and diverse bird communities. The current
checklist is at 233 species of birds that have been
seen within 15kms of Kimiwan Lake. Each morning and
evening the lake is alive with the noise and activity
of birds coming and going to feed. Click
here to visit the Kimiwan Lake Website!
We hunt within a 60 mile (100km) radius of McLennan
in the heart of the Peace Country. McLennan is surrounded
by agricultural and the wheat, barley and pea crops
provide the necessary ingredients needed to attract
the migrating waterfowl. We are located in the Parkland
mixture, which creates the ideal setting and nutrients
needed for the migrating ducks and geese. Migrating
waterfowl are naive about decoys and blinds as they
enter the Peace Country, this is the beginning of when
their migration enters active hunting zones.
McLennan has been our home
base for ten years, we have developed good working relationships
with the farmers in the area who welcome hunters due to
the tremendous impact this many migrating geese and ducks
have on their crops.
We arrange accommodations our lodge or a bed & breakfast
within the areas we will be hunting.
